Market-leading CO2 data

With us, you can access your scope 3 data directly from our customer portal.

We keep track of CO2 emissions from your transportation - both for individual deliveries and as a complete overview. This makes it easy to retrieve data extracts for your own systems.

You can also see all your transportation costs in one place - from oil surcharges and road tax to storage and handling.

Electrified logistics with care

We have taken a concrete step towards lower CO₂ emissions with our investment in electric trucks, which will pave the way for us and the greener logistics solutions of the future.

Equipment - fleet and trucks

The age of equipment has a major impact on operation, safety and emissions. At H. Daugaard , the average age of our trucks is approximately 2.5 years. The low age means newer engines and safety systems as well as lower emission levels in operation. All our trucks meet the Euro 6 emission requirements.

In collaboration with our trailer supplier, Krone, we have also developed a 4-axle trailer that increases the payload within the applicable weight limits. On suitable routes, this can contribute to fewer trips and better capacity utilization. You can read more about this trailer here.

We continuously optimize our equipment in line with technological developments. That's why we also use electric forklifts (electric forklifts) where operationally suitable. At the same time, we test new machines and solutions as they are launched, focusing on documentable improvements in operation, safety and energy efficiency.

Want us to advise you on a more environmentally friendly transportation solution?

As an experienced transport partner, we know exactly how to optimize transport solutions to achieve a more environmentally friendly supply chain as we compare road, rail and ship by distance, fill rate and energy efficiency - and document the impact in your delivery history.

Eco-driving

Driving with lower consumption and CO₂

In addition to the work on equipment and machinery, we have integrated eco-driving into all trucks. The system helps drivers reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, and we measure progress on six parameters (e.g. acceleration/braking, idling, speed, gear changes and coasting). These efforts are complemented by training courses where drivers receive concrete methods and feedback based on their own driving data

In our article on the subject, you can find out exactly how and how much our Eco-driving system helps the environment. We've also written another article where we share tips for more environmentally friendly driving - whether you drive professionally or privately.

Low rolling resistance tires & tarpaulin recycling

Our trucks run on low rolling resistance and retreadable tires. This lowers fuel consumption and can extend tire life. You can read more about how car tires affect the environment here.

‍Whentarpaulins are worn out, suitable PVC tablecloths are sent to Tarprec for re- and upcycling, where the material can be turned into new products.

Concrete measures in operations

  • In all our warehouses we have replaced our light sources with LED
  • We have replaced all our oil boilers with heat pumps
  • Waste is sorted at all our facilities according to current regulations
  • We motivate our drivers to drive economically with ecodriving, thereby lowering fuel consumption and reducing our CO2 emissions
  • Euro 6 trucks

Our Certifications & Partnerships

We continuously explore opportunities to obtain certifications or enter into collaborations that can boost our efforts for both the environment and society.

Therefore, as part of our continuous efforts to deliver sustainable solutions and meet customer requirements, we have undergone a comprehensive EcoVadis assessment. EcoVadis is a global leader in sustainability assessment, evaluating companies' CSRD levels across environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

In addition, we have also received the Responsible Care label, which is a voluntary scheme that covers principles and procedures for the correct handling of chemicals, as it is extremely important to us that the working environment and handling of chemicals is carried out according to the best possible safety principles.
