Market-leading CO2 data

With us, you can access your scope 3 data directly from our customer portal.

We keep track of CO2 emissions from your transportation - both for individual deliveries and as a complete overview. This makes it easy to retrieve data extracts for your own systems.

You can also see all your transportation costs in one place - from oil surcharges and road tax to storage and handling.

Environmentally friendly equipment - Fleet and Trucks

The age of equipment is a crucial factor in determining whether it is damaging to the environment. The average age of trucks in Denmark is 10.2 years. At H. Daugaard, the average age of our trucks is 2.5 years. Not only does this reduce climate impact in the form of more environmentally friendly technology, but it also increases safety on the roads. All our trucks are Euro 6 compliant, which is the latest standard.

In collaboration with our trailer supplier, Krone, we have also developed a 4-axle trailer that helps us transport several tons at a time. You can read more about this trailer here.

We are constantly optimizing our equipment with a view to what is possible with current technological developments. We therefore also use electric trucks to the extent that technology allows. At the same time, we have a strong focus on testing environmentally friendly machinery when it is launched on the market.

Eco-driving

Driving with care for the climate

In addition to our work with equipment and machinery, we have also integrated Eco-driving systems in all our trucks. This helps our drivers to drive more environmentally friendly, and in practice, this is measured on six different parameters. The system is complemented by training courses where our drivers gain new knowledge and methods to improve their driving.

In our article on the subject, you can find out exactly how and how much our Eco-driving system helps the environment. We've also written another article where we share tips for more environmentally friendly driving - whether you drive professionally or privately.

Eco-friendly tires & tarpaulin recycling

Our trucks run on tires that are produced under environmentally friendly conditions, are gentle during use and have multiple lives. You can read more about our environmentally friendly tires here. Likewise, we don't just throw away our tarpaulins at the end of their lifecycle. Instead, we pass them on to Tarprec, a company that re- and upcycles PVC material in the form of old truck tarpaulins. This gives H. Daugaard's tarpaulins a much longer life, as the tarpaulins become various products such as bags, purses, computer bags and much more.

The little things that make a big difference

  • In all our warehouses we have replaced our light sources with LED
  • We have replaced all our oil boilers with heat pumps
  • Waste is sorted at all our facilities
  • We motivate our drivers to drive economically with ecodriving, saving diesel and reducing our CO2 emissions
  • Euro 6 trucks
