About us
H. Daugaard Group is a privately owned international logistics company. From our head office in the old, historic customs building at the end of the harbor in Kolding, we have a fantastic view of the place where it all started - and where we still have our central HUB with large, modern terminals and storage facilities that are closely connected to the world around us by rail, sea and road. A traffic hub in the middle of Denmark where our many specialists solve diverse transportation and logistics tasks on a daily basis.

Our concept
Our concept is based on combining the most optimal modes of transportation - with a focus on continuous development of our 'people, performance, and precision'. We develop positively and purposefully with a large, dedicated team of more than +200 colleagues. You'll find that we work closely together to meet the increasing level of activity - without ever compromising on safety, deadlines or our environmentally friendly transportation concept. We work proactively and purposefully to optimize our solutions to become more sustainable.
History & experience
Over the years, we have successfully adapted our business to the constant evolution and changing demands of the transportation and logistics industry. We are extremely proud to have been part of Kolding's business community for over 100 years - and even more proud that our oldest customer relationship dates back to 1929 and is still going strong.
We established our large warehouse in Vamdrup, 15 km west of Kolding, in 1989 and today, with more than 33,000 m2, we offer our many warehouse customers a customized warehouse logistics solution.
Our unique warehouse concept is based on our dedicated employees who, with the use of new technology, ensure a very high quality in our overall warehouse logistics.
In 1994, we strengthened our position in the Triangle region by adding additional storage facilities at the Port of Vejle - a total of 7500 m2 of modern quayside terminals with indoor cranes specially designed for various steel products were built.
At the Port of Kolding we have the same specially equipped terminals as in Vejle, but in Kolding we have direct rail access to the halls, from where we can offer indoor crane unloading of various products.
Over time, we have built up basic expertise in handling coils and other steel elements, large paper rolls for the Danish printing companies, dangerous goods handling with specially designed facilities, and packaging, including both corrugated board and liquid packaging board. In addition, we have specially designed warehouse sections set up for our many chemical customers.
Today, our owners consist of: Michael Frihagen, Palle Mogensen, Carsten Eskildsen, and Michael Dixi Nielsen.

International presence
H. Daugaard is also represented internationally - in 1987 we established DAULUX S.A. with an office in Luxembourg, and in 2007 we started a new era with our own freight forwarding company and associated fleet in the Czech Republic DAUCZECH s.r.o.
These two well-functioning companies (Daulux s.a. and Dauczech s.r.o.) are run based on the same values as the rest of the group, and they are 100% integrated into H. Daugaard, which is why our services are unique in terms of the strong interaction between all parties that characterizes our daily work.

Our work for & with the environment
Today, the transportation industry is one of the industries that contributes significantly to overall CO2 emissions. We are particularly aware of the responsibility we bear as a part of the industry. That's why we continuously launch initiatives and strive to be as transparent as possible.
Hence, you can access your scope 3 data directly in our customer portal. You also get access to CO2 emissions on both specific and total transports, as well as an overview of your expenses.
