Environmental friendliness is in focus at H. Daugaard!
At H. Daugaard , we are conscious of the climate. We know that we have a responsibility to take, and we take that responsibility. We want to lead the way when it comes to making the industry more environmentally friendly. That's why we're proud to announce our Eco-driving system, which is integrated in all our trucks. The aim is to reduce the use of fuel as much as possible - and thereby reduce CO2 emissions.
The system doesn't reduce CO2 emissions from the truck by itself - it all depends on the driver. The essence of the Eco-driving system is that it makes it easier for the driver to drive more environmentally friendly. The system measures the driving behavior of the driver, where the Eco-driving system has set up six different parameters which are:
- Idle speed
- Overspeed
- Braking
- Hard braking
- Rolling out
- Coasting
The Eco-driving system is an on-board computer installed in all our trucks. Here, the computer will collect data based on the driver's driving behavior - while the driver is driving, as can be seen in the picture here.
Our drivers at H. Daugaard are constantly improving when it comes to driving more environmentally friendly. Commitment is not lacking - eco-driving has become an internal competition between the drivers. Both driver and fleet manager can see the data right away.

We are very proud of our drivers - they have done a fantastic job in changing their driving habits towards becoming more environmentally friendly.
