Stevedoring
Professional unloading and loading in the Triangle Region
We offer stevedoring services in Kolding and Vejle, where we unload and load ships from our quay-side facilities. We ensure that your cargo is transported safely from ship to terminal and onward in the logistics chain.
With over 300 ship calls annually, during which we handle heavy cargoes weighing many thousands of tons, we have built up extensive experience in stevedoring. Our employees are trained and receive ongoing training in cargo handling at the port.

What is stevedoring?
Stevedoring refers to the tasks involved in unloading and loading ships at the port. It includes the handling of both general cargo and bulk cargo, with each step requiring coordination between personnel, cranes, and transport equipment. In practice, stevedoring serves as the link between maritime transport and onward transport on land, and it requires that the transfer from ship to terminal be carried out safely and efficiently.
Efficient stevedoring minimizes the time a ship spends in port and ensures that cargo is handled properly. This requires the right equipment, thorough planning, and employees with practical experience in port environments.
Do you offer stevedoring services for bulk and general cargo?
Bulk and general cargo have different requirements in terms of equipment and handling, and we tailor our solutions to the specific load. Bulk requires equipment that can move large quantities efficiently, while general cargo requires precise positioning and care during unloading.
We have extensive experience in cargo handling and will tailor the right solution to your specific needs, ensuring that the process is tailored to your cargo and its requirements.

Sustainability is a core part of our business. That's why we keep track of CO2 emissions for your transportation, and you can find your scope 3 data directly in our customer portal. See how we integrate ESG to promote a more sustainable supply chain.

Where does the stevedoring take place?
Our stevedoring operations are based at terminals in Kolding and Vejle, which are directly connected to the rail and highway networks. Both ports have direct rail connections, allowing cargo to be transported by train immediately after unloading without any detours. Cargo can also be transported by truck directly from the quay.
We have warehouses located right next to the ports where goods can be stored securely until shipment. The close connection between the dock, the warehouse, and onward transport makes it possible to organize a comprehensive logistics solution from ship to final destination.
Equipment and expertise
We have a wide range of equipment, including custom-designed forklifts, which enable us to handle both heavy and bulky cargo safely and efficiently.
We are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SQAS, which ensures that our operations comply with applicable requirements. These certifications also cover environmental safety, meaning that both employees and customers operate in a safe environment.

Can stevedoring be included as part of a comprehensive logistics solution?
Stevedoring is often part of a larger logistics operation. After unloading, the cargo must be stored, transshipped, or transported further, and the entire chain must work seamlessly together. We offer a comprehensive shipping solution, handling everything from chartering and customs clearance to unloading, storage, and onward distribution to your customers.
This means you have a single point of contact and a seamless process without unnecessary intermediaries—even when stevedoring is combined with bulk shipping or onward transport by rail and road.
Sustainability and CO2 data
Sustainability is a core focus of our business. We track the CO2 emissions from your shipments, and you can view your Scope 3 data directly in our customer portal.
Maritime transport emits significantly less CO2 per ton of cargo than truck transport when the volume of cargo is sufficiently large. When cargo is transported further by rail rather than by truck after unloading, the CO2 footprint can be reduced even further. Together with you, we’ll determine which combination of transport modes makes the most sense for your cargo and your environmental profile.
