We are incredibly proud to receive the SammenomJOB award for the third year in a row🙏

For the third consecutive year, we have been recognized by Social and Labor Market Kolding for our work with social responsibility.

The award honors companies that work toward a labor market with room for everyone, where inclusion and diversity are in focus.

Kåre Møller, business consultant at Kolding Municipality, explains the reason for the recognition as follows:

"We have had a long-standing collaboration with Per Smed from the warehouse hotel in Vamdrup, who is always ready to offer work trials and internships to various citizens. Several of these programs have even led to permanent employment or flex jobs. At the same time, H. Daugaard as a whole meets all the criteria for receiving the award."

Sustainable Jobs and Social Responsibility

Sustainable jobs foster diversity in the workplace and provide opportunities for individuals with special needs, including mental or physical challenges. They also help prevent stress and burnout. The key is tailoring tasks so that unskilled workers or those with limited work capacity can contribute while full-time employees enjoy a more balanced workday. Beyond promoting social responsibility, sustainable jobs ensure that employees can thrive throughout their careers, benefiting both companies and staff.

Per Smed, warehouse manager in Vamdrup, is passionate about making a difference and talks about the collaboration:

"We want to contribute to social responsibility because we believe that employees who are in work will believe in the opportunities available in the labor market. The goal is for them to build self-confidence, get out of the system, and find permanent employment in the future. We always try to find a place for everyone, regardless of the challenges they face."

How We Work with Social Responsibility: The 5 Criteria

Jobs for individuals on the margins of the labor market

⭐ We’ve hired several flex workers and continuously offer job trials and internships, many of which lead to permanent positions.

Retention and support for employees on sick leave

⭐ Our employees are the core of our organization. We prioritize close dialogue and develop individual return-to-work plans for employees on long-term sick leave. If relevant, we also help with clarification regarding flex jobs.

Employment for refugees and immigrants

⭐ Last year, we employed three talented Ukrainian refugees for seasonal work at our warehouse hotel in Vamdrup. This year, we plan to hire even more. We have already made an agreement with one of them from last year, who impressed us with his commitment and skills. Through monthly status meetings with the municipality, we ensure optimal conditions and job satisfaction.

Upskilling and competency development

⭐ We invest in our people. When we see potential in an intern, we’re happy to cover the cost of certifications, IT courses, or other relevant training that could lead to long-term employment.

Encouraging youth in vocational training

⭐ We currently have seven dedicated students whom we are providing with thorough training and insight into the transport industry to give them the best possible start to their careers.
