Our very own "best in test"
- So we make sure you get the most environmentally friendly solution.
Over the past few weeks, we have tested 4 different trucks. It's time for us to replace some of our trucks so we can maintain the low average age of our fleet.
A low average age of the fleet increases safety on the road due to newer technology - and it also increases environmental friendliness, as newer trucks are better at utilizing fuel, which reduces CO2 emissions.
The best in practice - not just on paper
But when it comes to replacing our equipment, we want to be absolutely sure that we get the best for our needs. On paper, one truck can be greener than others - but that's not always the case when the truck is used in practice.
What matters is how the truck will be driven.
- For example, will it be driving long, long distances on the highway?
- Or will it be doing city driving with many stops?
- Or does it need to do both?
That's why we always test different trucks before making a decision. And while we're testing, we collect data so that we can subsequently assess which truck emits the least C02 in relation to our driving behavior.
We mainly measure how quickly the fuel is used up (the slower the better).
This time we tested four different branded trucks:
- VOLVO
- MERCEDES
- IVECO
- DAF
