H. Daugaard receives award for creating sustainable jobs
Every year, Social og arbejdsmarked Kolding awards the "SammenomJOB" prize to companies that create sustainable jobs. And H. Daugaard has now received the award, and we are very proud of that.

To be considered for the award, a company must meet three of the five criteria below.
- Jobs for individuals on the margins of the labor market
- Retention and support for employees on sick leave
- Employment for refugees and immigrants
- Upskilling and competency development
- Encouraging youth in vocational training
At H. Daugaard , we don't just meet three of the criteria - we meet all five.
The SammenomJOB award celebrates social responsibility, which helps to ensure that employees can stay longer in the labor market, and it also ensures diversity, which includes employees who need support and prevents unhappiness.

Social responsibility is important at H. Daugaard
At H. Daugaard's warehouse in Vamdrup, 10% of our employees are people who have been on the edge of the labor market. There can be many reasons for being on the edge of the labor market - but we believe that with the right support and planning, we can integrate these employees into H. Daugaard. And our experience is very positive. Jan, our warehouse manager in Vamdrup, and Per, who is the foreman, say: "We can see how much of an effect it has on these people when they are listened to and believed in. When employees get a workday that is adapted to them, they get a successful experience in the labor market, and then they flourish - and that's win/win."
At H. Daugaard , we have the opportunity to help many different types of people into jobs at our warehouse hotel because there are so many different types of tasks. For example, tasks where not being able to speak Danish is not an obstacle. An example of this is Olha and Natalia, who got jobs at our warehouse after fleeing the war in Ukraine. You can read more about them here.
The fact that you can't work 37 hours a week is not an obstacle either. Nor is it an obstacle to have a senior scheme, where older employees are quietly let out of their jobs in order to retire in the best possible way. In fact, most things can be done with the right understanding and planning.
Jeanette from Jobcenter Kolding, who came and handed over the award, also says: "Getting a job that is adapted to the citizen shows the citizen that there is a place for them too. Getting out and gaining self-confidence and actually getting a paycheck - that means a lot."
Thank you for the award - we look forward to working together to create more sustainable jobs in 2024.
