H. Daugaard A/S takes over Grau Shipping

“We have collaborated on various projects over the past few years and are therefore familiar with each other’s strengths and opportunities to build on the potential offered by the acquisition. The purchase is driven by a desire to strengthen the company’s position in the chartering and stevedoring sectors,” says Michael Frihagen, CEO of H. Daugaard.

Peter Grau - owner and founder of Grau Shipping - says that he is very happy that the two companies have been able to agree to merge and that both he and the other employees look forward to becoming part of the shipping team at H. Daugaard.

- We have good chemistry and there will be many tasks where we can complement each other and develop new solutions, says Peter Grau.

- H. Daugaard has its own companies in the Czech Republic and Luxembourg, storage facilities at the ports of Kolding and Vejle and a warehouse hotel in Vamdrup, and we are now expanding our port activities, as we believe that the ports will grow in the future - with more goods via ship and rail, says Palle Mogensen.

All three directors conclude by saying that it is: "business as usual".
