What are the new rules?

The driver's work outside his or her home country is considered posting and must therefore be paid according to applicable national conditions.
- This means that driving between Germany and Spain, for example, must be paid according to German and Spanish collective agreements respectively.
- All trips must be registered in a new administrative system IMI (EU control system).
Cabotage rules or rules for using foreign drivers nationally are further tightened.
- Once the quota is used, the car must be shipped out of the country.
- Requires the car to return to its home country every 8 weeks

A lot of extra administration - especially to ensure that the driver receives the right salary in the countries they work in.
Many wasted kilometers and unnecessary CO2 emissions when the cars have to return to their country of registration, where goods are rarely carried.
