More than logistics – a collaboration with development potential
DKSH Nordic is an international distributor of raw materials for the food, construction, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, among others. With several hundred customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries, they specialize in delivering flexible solutions—quickly, efficiently, and with high quality—and H. Daugaard been a regular logistics partner and contributor to this development. From a single shipment and a small warehouse in Dalby, the collaboration has grown into a fully integrated solution covering the entire logistics chain, including sea freight, warehouse management, and daily road transport directly to DKSH Nordic's customers.
Tailored solutions that drive growth
As DKSH's business has developed, the collaboration with H. Daugaard expanded and adapted. In 2025, the collaboration culminated in the largest shipment to date to the Port of Kolding, where a ship carrying 4,600 tons of material arrived. This marked not only a record in terms of volume, but also a logistical breakthrough, with the solution being developed jointly. In order to handle the volumes, an additional warehouse was put into use, and the material was prepared for direct distribution to DKSH Nordic's customers in the following weeks.
One integrated logistics chain
The collaboration between DKSH Nordic and H. Daugaard the entire value chain – from raw material producer to end customer. When they enter into an agreement to purchase materials in Europe, H. Daugaard is responsible for coordinating with the supplier and finding the right logistics setup for the task. We handle all communication regarding load quantities and ensure that the goods arrive in Kolding on time. Upon arrival, the entire load is taken into storage, where we handle both reception and inventory management.
When stock levels approach a low point, our team reacts proactively and contacts DKSH Nordic to plan the next shipments. Like all our customers, DKSH Nordic has a dedicated contact person, which saves time and provides flexibility in an industry where precision and service are paramount.

Logistics in practice – flexible and stable deliveries
Once the goods are in stock, H. Daugaard takes responsibility for the next step: daily distribution to DKSH Nordic's customers. Here, it is not just inventory management and orders that make the difference, but also direct customer contact. With Operations Manager Alexander Damkjær as the permanent contact person, deliveries are coordinated quickly – often from day to day – and orders can be moved or adjusted if customer needs change.

Daugaard known for its flexibility, delivery reliability, high quality, and short decision-making processes. This has created a partnership where things move quickly, even when it comes to special tasks or tight deadlines. Daily contact with our Operations Manager, Alexander Damkjær, means that we can act quickly, whether it's booking a shipment for the next day or adjusting warehouse capacity, as he has in-depth knowledge of both the partnership and DKSH Nordics' business needs.
