Effectively managing large export projects requires flexibility, storage capacity, and close collaboration across multiple links in the logistics chain. This is precisely the basis for the partnership between Centrum Pæle and H. Daugaard.

Flexibility creates opportunities for exports

As part of a major export project, H. Daugaard is handling H. Daugaard of 3,157 tons of 12-meter-long reinforced concrete piles from Centrum Pæle’s factory in Vejle to the Port of Kolding. A temporary storage facility is being set up there before the piles are loaded directly onto a ship and shipped around the world.

Centrum Pæle is Europe’s largest manufacturer of precast concrete piles for construction and infrastructure projects. The company specializes in foundation solutions, piling piles, energy piles, and proprietary pile systems, and over the years has established a strong position in automation, quality, and custom manufacturing.

For Centrum Pæle, the solution is therefore not just about transportation. It is about creating space and flexibility in everyday operations, while ensuring that large volumes of goods can be handled efficiently without disrupting daily operations.

“It’s a huge advantage that H. Daugaard build the warehouse at the port. If that option hadn’t been available, the project simply wouldn’t have been possible,” says Danny Brockhoff, sales manager at Centrum Pæle.

A solution designed for large-scale export projects

At Centrum Pæle, the majority of deliveries in Denmark are handled by truck. However, when large export projects need to be shipped together by sea, different logistical requirements arise.

This is where the storage facilities at the Port of Kolding play a crucial role. Instead of consolidating all deliveries into just a few days, the piles can be transported from the factory in Vejle to the port in Kolding on an ongoing basis over several weeks. This provides both flexibility and space in the production process.

At the same time, the solution opens up new opportunities for export projects in markets outside Denmark:

H. Daugaard us reach further afield with even larger projects. We can continue production while H. Daugaard for storage. Once everything has been produced, H. Daugaard handles loading the ship. This is absolutely crucial for our exports,” adds Danny Brockhoff, Sales Manager at Centrum Pæle.

A single point of contact and quick response

The partnership between Centrum Pæle and H. Daugaard also H. Daugaard on personal contact and quick coordination in day-to-day operations.

When projects involve road transport, warehousing, and shipping, quick decisions and close communication are essential. That is why it is crucial to Centrum Pæle’s workflow that communication goes directly to a single designated contact person rather than through multiple layers of management.

“You get a response when you call. Speed, flexibility, and the personal touch are what set you apart as a partner,” says Danny Brockhoff.

Customized logistics in practice

For H. Daugaard , this collaboration H. Daugaard a prime example of how customized logistics is all about ensuring that more parts of the logistics chain work closely together. From road transport and warehouse management to shipping and coordination around the vessel, the solution is consolidated in one place with a focus on flexibility, delivery reliability, and close collaboration throughout the entire process.
