COVID-19 H. Daugaard
We have all experienced how COVID-19 has affected us. The virus has spread all over the world and more are infected every day.
We are following the Danish authorities’ recommendations concerning COVID-19 and we are taking the necessary precautions. We are keeping up with new information about eventual new precautions concerning our transports etc.
It is important for us to mention that we are NOT affected by the closed borders, since freight transportation is excluded. Our transports will therefore continue as usual. The transit times might be increased due to the border controls.
Organizational changes
Despite COVID-19, we still have some good news to share. On 01.01.2020, we welcomed our new CIO, Lars Romsøe. Lars is 54 years old and through many years, Lars has been working with different IT management tasks.
In correlation with our qualified employees in the IT department, Lars is looking forward to be implementing new, exciting solutions to increase value in our overall logistics solutions for our customers and collaborators.
Furthermore, Lars will have a focus on simplifying and optimizing our business processes by implementing digitalization as a natural part of our daily life.
New website
Our marketing department has been working at full throttle to make our new website ready to go live.
At our new website, you can access our new e-service that has been future-proven in terms of the services. Our e-service makes it easy and effective to book transports electronically. If you are not already signed up for our e-service, you can contact your contact person – then we will help you!
Customized Logistics has created growth on our transports to and from Sweden
We have entered into an agreement with Goodyear regarding transports from Sweden to Denmark. We are daily collecting tires with our “linehaul-trucks” that are transporting the tires to our warehouses in both Glostrup and Vamdrup. At these terminals, the trucks get unloaded and the tires are distributed in our nationwide distribution of tires.
This solution is an excellent example of how we provide customized logistics, where the demand from Goodyear was a fast and effective delivery performance to the Danish customers. We are proud that Goodyear has praised the implementation and the execution from day one. Welcome to the best distribution of tires in the branch – a rolling concept.
